In the villages of Oberwössen and Unterwössen facilities are available for tennis, golf, gliding and paragliding. There are also numerous sights all well worth visiting and all within an easy day’s excursion: Herrenchiemsee, Salzburg, Tyrol, Berchtesgaden, Munich etc.
Water sports fans all congregate by the river Ache where they can go rafting and canoeing or on Lake Chiemsee where they can sail or windsurf. In winter the Winklmoos-Steinplatte or the Hochkössen ski slopes are very popular. There are also plenty of cross-country ski tracks for those who like to explore the region in a somewhat more relaxed way.
